Preschool
The Lincoln preschool program is based on the Creative Curriculum and the Kansas Early Learning Standards.  The program uses the Little Treasures curriculum developed specifically for Pre-K students by Macmillan/McGraw-Hill.  The basic concept is learning through play and teaching what is developmentally appropriate for the children. Children learn many skills during the school year through songs, nursery rhymes, and while playing games and in centers.
Some of those skills are:

  • Recognizing our name, colors, numbers, shapes, letters.

  • Writing our name, numbers, and letters.

  • Identifying rhyming words.

  • Identifying letter sounds.

  • Listening when others are talking during circle time, during story time, etc.

  • Taking turns, sharing and playing cooperatively with others.

  • Following directions.
